Spring Housing Market in North Iowa 2016

May 17th, 2016

The Greater Mason City Board of REALTORS® & Mason City Multiple Listing Service reports the spring housing market is on the upward swing in Mason City and surrounding communities according to their latest sales statistics.  April single family residential sales were up 58.3% from April sales reported last year at this time.  They have also seen a significant drop in days on market.  Homes are selling in half as many days as April 2015.

“Our inventory is following the national trend recently released by NAR Economist Lawrence Yun.  Inventory is down but many homes have an accepted offer within a few days of being listed” reported Amber Scholl, Executive Officer of the Greater Mason City Board of REALTORS® & Mason City Multiple Listing Service.
