Committees

GMCBOR Committees

Leadership strives for brokerage office and geographic diversity in committee appointments. Unless otherwise noted, appointments are for a one year term.

Budget Committee

Description: Determines budget for each year. Makes recommendation to the Board of Directors for final association annual budget.
Composition: Chairperson and 4-5 members.
Meeting Frequency: 2-3 times each year (Jan - Mar)

Membership/Orientation Committee

Description: Assists Staff by providing education and training for new members during orientation throughout the year.
Composition: Chairperson and 4-5 members.
Meeting Frequency: 2-4 times each year

Political Affairs / IAR / RPAC Committee

Description: Plans and executes RPAC events.
Composition: Chairperson and 8-10 members.
Meeting Frequency: Monthly (Jan - Sep)

Program/Education Committee

Description: Plans monthly membership meeting speakers and programs. Selects continuing education (CE) for REALTORS at NIACC.
Composition: Chairperson and 4-5 members.
Meeting Frequency: 1-2 times per year

Awards Committee

Description: Reviews nominations and votes for Local Realtor of the Year recipient.
Composition: Chairperson and 4-5 members.
Meeting Frequency: 2 - 3 times per year (late summer, early fall)

Personnel (Employee) Review Committee

Description: Discuss staff responsibilities, conducts annual reviews of staff.
Composition: Chairperson and 4-5 members.
Meeting Frequency: 3-4 times each year

Nominating Committee

Description: Selects candidates to run on the ballot for the October election for the new members of the Board of Directors.
Composition: Chairperson and 4-5 members.
Meeting Frequency: 1-3 times each year (mid to late summer)

MLS Committee

Description: Discuss, research, evaluate and accept/decline requests for additions and modifications to existing MLS systems. Recommends changes to the Board of Directors.
Composition: Chairperson and 9-10 members.
Meeting Frequency: As needed
